Fuel oil sales
OSS uses its own specially constructed refinery to reprocess and treat waste oil. Through the refining process OSS produces two grades of fuel oil for industry.
NexGen™ - This represents the next generation of clean fuel oils. It is a recycled/processed fuel oil (PFO), produced to the same BS 2869 specification as virgin fuels and offering savings of around 10% over virgin gas oil and light fuel oils. It is fully compliant with the standards and specifications set out in the End of Waste Quality Protocol which became law on May 1st 2010.
CFO® (Clean Fuel Oil) - This was our original recycled fuel oil. It has now been replaced by our upgraded NexGen™.
RFO (Recycled Fuel Oil) - provides an extremely economical alternative to virgin fuel oil. Unlike NexGen™, RFO is classified as a waste which means that it is subject to the Waste Incineration Directive (WID). Its use is restricted to customers who are WID compliant.
