Storage Tanks that have a residue of oil or any hazardous material are themselves classed as hazardous until they have been cleaned. Tanks that require disposal are to be cleaned /purged and certified with a Gas Free certificate before they can removed from site. They cannot be recycled or landfilled without this certificate or declaration.
OSS can thoroughly cleanse and remove the tank from your site, for dismantling and disposal by a registered scrap merchant. Alternatively we can decommission your storage tanks via foam fill. This option suits tanks that are set in the ground and cannot be viably removed from the site.
This operation makes the tank totally safe and a certificate is provided. A detailed Health & Safety plan, including risk assessment and method statement, is provided by our staff as part of the service package.
